hey crazy week and crazy fast too i felt like i was emailing like yesterday hahahhah anyway. i didnt write in my journal again hahahha sorry mom and grandma

first happy birthday lindsay! its funny all the missionaries here when they see pictures of you always tell me that they are going to come back and marry you so youll have lots of dates when i get home with returned missionaries! a few even call me their brother in law hahahha but anyway i hope you had a great birthday! love you

second with the title of my email. thats a quote from a taxi driver who got deported while obama was president hahahhaha its so funny how people have opinions about american politics when i dont even know who mexicos president is. lol

on monday after p day we were just walking around because we didnt have any appointments and the thought popped in my head to visit one of our investigators named molly. a little background on molly. she is from the states and doesnt speak any spanish. she lives here because 5 years ago she had a kid with a mexican who was working in the states. long story short he dipped when she had the baby and im pretty sure she just showed up here and called him hahahha crazy situation. but anyway they fight a lot and every time we go over there i feel like a marriage thereapist lol. so after our last time going over there they argued for the whole time hahahha and we had to go so we forgot to make a return appointment. so we went over there and she was so happy to see us becuase she thought for sure that we would never go back after last time hahahha. so i guess it was the spirit promting me to go over there. i also found out that its really easy to teach in english hahahha im a bit jealous of all my bois stateside that get to teach in english all the time. we also set a baptism date for her in 3 weeks.

on tuesday we just had a bunch of appointments. one was with this girl who is dating a returned missionary and wants to get married in the temple but she never comes to church so we cant baptise her. so we set a baptism date for her and i explained that if she wants to get married in the temple she needs to go to church every sunday and be an active member for a year. so we will see what happens. the problem is she works a lot of sundays. and she doesnt think its that important because her ex missionary boyfriend is less active. eeeek

the highlight of wednesday was we got a new investigator and she had a lot of super good questions which is always good. also her name is alma which is apparently a girl name here lol. it was also my 3 month mark.

not much else happened the rest of the week besides that we set another baptism date with this lady named teresa. the only problem is she smokes so shes going to have to quit before we can baptize her. we also recived and contacted a reference for a guy that has already taken all the lessons and been to church enough times. i was pumped and thought to myself. oh heck yeah free baptism. but he is living with his freaking girlfriend so we have to get them married before we can baptize them. smh always something in the way.
