this week has been crazy fun and crazy hot. my shirts are starting to turn yellow hahhaha whoops. in the mtc they always told us there were people here waiting for the message that were prepared by the lord. i honestly didnt believe it until this week when we contacted this family and they immediately told us where they lived. i was expecting the address to be false because almost every address we get is false hahahah but to my surprise we found the house. when we got there i was expecting the lady to give some excuse about why she couldnt meet with us and to come back another day but to my surprise again she let us right in and gave us a glass of water. MY THIRD DOUBT WAS THAT SHE WAS AN INACTIVE MEMBER AND JUST DIDNT SAY ANYTHING. THAT HAPPENS TO US A LOT TOO HAHAHAHA but wow milagros people. they were super receptive to the message that we shared so im hoping they progress. they even said theyre going to feed us when we meet with them next. THX FOR THE PRAYERS PPL but i guess im thanking myself cause weve been praying in our companionship prayers to find someone thats ready to hear the gospel. moral of the story is that 1. we found some good investigators and 2. god answers prayers.
saturday we were knocking doors and this guy let us in pretty quick but he was just being nice and told us that he listened to missionaries like 15 years ago and isnt interested. he had a huge dog though and so we took pics with it hahahah.
sunday we had a ward activity and i was talking to this members mom whos catholic. she was pretty straight up rejecting our offer to meet with her (as most catholics are) but i asked her what she knew about the book of mormon. she said not much but she had read it a few times. she said she doesnt really understand it but i explained that the purpose is to testify of christ. who knows. maybe some missionary down the road will get her to get baptized. sometimes its hard to have people reject you but one of my purposes here is to plant seeds so no matter what. or how small the seeds are im just out here doing my job.
the end.
