Week 1

hey everyone long time no see hahaha how have you been

i didnt have time to set up a group email or anything so im just going to rely on my mom to send these to everyone who wants them.

also if theres anything else you want to know just ask and ill tell you 

ill send pictures in a seperate email 

saying goodbye to my family was easily the hardest part and the whole time going through the airport i was like crying haha but once i got to my gate and started talking to the other missionaries it was fine. we flew down with like 40 other missionaries and i was right by elder howell for the flight and we talked the whole time. hes a way sick dude. when we got to the mexico city airport i remembered why i hated that airport its so disorganized and just sucks all around. hahha but then we got on a bus for the mtc and when we got here we put our stuff in our rooms and had pizza for dinner and then had a devotinal broadcast from provo and i fell asleep through the whole thing hahah the first few days i fell asleep pretty much every day but now that im adjusted to the sleep schedule i only fall asleep on occasion hahaha 

the beds are so uncomfortable and the first few nights it was hard to fall asleep but now im used to them. 

the food is so bad that pretty much everyone has diharreah hahah except i dont for some reason maybe im used to it from all the del taco i used to eat. the joke here is dont eat the chicken but they serve chicken pretty much every meal unless were lucky. hahah one time they even served chicken with some kind of sauce for breakfast and that day my companion went to the bathroom 7 TIMES  before lunch and 9 times total hahhaha but its all good. the best thing they serve here is fruit loops and orange soda. so thats how you know its bad hahahha and on tuesdays they serve costco pizza which is good 

my companion is way sick! hes from springville and at first i thought he was a scrub but the more i talked to him the more i realized how sick he is and he actually has some way funny stories. i shouldnt tell most of them because a lot of it is illigal like he used to steal street signs and put them in the same girls yard hahahha and they also made a squad club house on top of a strip mall and they put a ping pong table and tv and all sorts of cool stuff up there and they actually did get caught for that but the story was so funny! you seriously would never expect that from this guy though he was in choir in high school and is way into that kind of stuff but hes also in a rock band and they are on itunes and spotify. they are called black tie event if anyone wants to check them out i have no idea if they are good or not hahahh 

my district all gets along really well. elder howell is the district leader which im really happy about. his companion reminds me of dwight from the office and i honestly dont know how he does it hahahha i mean dwight is funny in the show but imagine having him for a companion eeeek hahhaha the only people who dont get along are the hermanas or sisters. they hate each other so much and im pretty sure one of them is going to go home which is sad but not that sad because everyone hates her and shes so annoying in the nicest way possible but she is always rude to everyone. the other sister is way cool though and shes super funny but seriously they have to meet with the zone leaders like every day because they hate each other so much. its pretty sad 

the hardest thing about the mtc is being in a classroom for 12 hours a day studying. who would have thought hahhaha it seriously sucks but the days do go by pretty quick after the first week. 

the best thing about the mtc is gym time.  we play basketball and im not saying we break the rules and keep score but me elder howell and elder peery have beat district 12 four games in a row so you could say we are the dream team! 

district 12 is full of some way cool kids and we hang out with them all the time! 

HOLY COW everyone stop what you are doing and start reading the book of mormon. IT IS SO TRUE. I NEVER REALIZED HOW TRUE IT IS UNTIL BEING OUT HERE.  also its way cool being a missionary because things stick out to me that wouldnt have at home its way cool .ive also had a few cool expiriences with god answering my prayers. holy cow guys god answers prayers i can tell you that much. i seriously love being out here and putting the name tag on and representing christ its seriously the coolest thing. 

if you remember one thing from this email just remember that the book of mormon is true as heck and god answers prayers!
