Elder Richard Oveson: adios semana dos

i honestly feel like i was writing yesterday. hahaha time flies.

first off GONGRATS DAVE ON GETTING BAPTIZED! the fam has been pushing for that one for too long hahaha but seriously congrats! i was super stoked when i found out

this week was way good! on tuesday we had interviews with president and that went well!

in my mission we are trying to focus on the people that want to progress and actually get baptized instead of wasting our time with people who just want to listen to us. so we had this investigator named paty and when we asked her if she wanted to get baptized she said probably not because she knows way too many mormons who dont act like christans. then she went to the bathroom and i started praying that the spirit would help me know what to say so she would get baptized. but when she got back the only thing that came to my mind was to thank her for her time and tell her that if missionaries contact her again to let them in because right now is just not her time. my prayer was answered just not in the way i thought it was going to be. on to finding new people!!!

thursday we did divisions with the zone leaders and i went to their area. they have one of the biggest areas in the whole mission and it is a huge hill. finished the day wayyyy tired. but it was fun. and we only got rejected in the street once the whole day. i miss poor areas hahahhaha

this whole week we have been trying wayyy hard to find new people to teach because right now we dont have that many people to teach. my area is kinda rough though because almost every person we contact lives outside our area. it sucks. hahaha theres a huge college and 2 malls so most of the people that are in my area are just here for that and live somewhere else.

anyway! today we played basketball for many hours and for that i dont have much time to email! see you next week.
