Elder Richard Oveson: $wag

this week was interesting....

i miss my old area hahaha. this area is way cool but the people just arent as interested as in my old area. there is a huge college in my area and to get to most of our appointments we have to walk through the college but sometimes they dont let us in so we have to walk around and it takes like 45 minutes just to get to the other side. at least its flat hahaha

most of the members here love us but theres this one who my comp told me always gets mad at us when we come early or late for the food. im talking minutes. so we got to her house 15 minutes early and waited by her door until 3 on the dot to knock the door. and her food made us both sick hahaha smh.

tuesday we set a baptism date which was super surprising. but then she didnt show up to church so we will have to move it back. oh well. but after our lesson with her it started pouring rain and we got soaked. tried knocking doors to see if people would let us in just because we were wet but it didnt work. hahah

wednesday it rained too. got soaked again but we had a good lesson.

thursday a bunch of the students at the college had a protest about one of the directors or something so they sat in the road and wouldnt let anyone pass until the guy resigned or got fired. we had to wait in the church until it was over but i guess they got what they wanted because we heard them yelling "SUCCESS!!!" im really happy for them.

friday was spent trying to find new people and knocking doors. long day.

saturday we found 2 new investigators from a reference. im excited to see how that goes!

oh shoot i forgot a way funny story, so we were teaching this lady and i was like how do you feel about joseph smith? and shes like HES AN INSPIRATION then she went off telling us about how she wants to follow his example and become her own joseph smith. im like wtf the only example you should be following is christ and shes like no i wanna be joseph smith hahahah what apostasy is this.
