last tuesday we were looking for an address and i had to pee so bad. then we saw one on our investigators and i asked him if he knew anyone close where i could go pee. he told me that he was on his way to his girlfriends house and that i could go there. we ended up teaching the family and they fed us dinner. and i didnt pee my pants #tendermercies
i once heard someone say that the church is true everywhere except mexico. every day im here that saying is more true. we were walking down the street and see this brother in our ward walking down the street with a t shirt an open jacket we get closer to see that its his GARMENTS just hanging out for everyone to see! i told him that he should probably close his jacket to not show his garments to which he replied "no one knows what they are" it was pretty funny. the people here just dont get it (well most of them do but some just dont)
most of the time when we knock doors or contact the people just tell us that they are catholic. we finally thought of a creative way to get around that rejection which is just telling them that we are catholic too. its been pretty effective and we get a good laugh out of it
saturday we had a baptism and he asked me if i would do the honors. it was an awesome expirience! the convert has already read the entire book of mormon and has a really solid testimony of the church.
our 16 year old investigator, Manuel called us the other day and asked to meet with us. he confessed a bunch of stuff to us and told us that he wants to change and get baptized! we set a date for him and after church on sunday he told us that he wants to go on a mission. my testimony of the church gets stronger every day and especially the fact that the lord is preparing people to hear this message!
i have no doubt that this is the true church. and im so grateful to be a part of it and have this chance to serve the lord!
