tuesday we had our last district meeting. some of the sisters showed up 20 minutes late but what can you expect? team effort for sure getting the second highest number of baptisms in the mission.
i honestly cant remember what else went on in the week but on saturday we had manuels baptism! it was really solid. i have loved watching that kids life turn around. he asked me to baptize him and it was a great expirience. he wants to go on a mission and i really hope he does. he has so much potential as a missionary and in the church in general. this kid is 16. he quit smoking, drinking, broke up with his girlfriend to keep the law of chasity, and apart from all that i have seen this kids whole attitude and relationship with him mom change. also his mom who was a die hard catholic when we met her for the first time is now coming to church with him every week and i honestly think shes going to get baptized. she invited us over for dinner sunday night and her exact words were "i dont know how to thank you guys for what you have done for my son" THAT IS WHY I LOVE BEING A MISSIONARY!!! this is the best job ever giving people the true gospel of christ and watching their lives change.
after the baptism we had a ward open house and it was a huge success! we picked up some really solid contacts from it. we literally had a lady ask how long it takes to be a part of this church?
saturday night we got our changes and i got changed out of politecnico which sucks. i put so much work into that area and it was way sad to leave all of that behind. but apart of that im a zone leader now which is pretty cool but the zone im in hasnt had a baptism in forever. also this change president did something weird where zone leaders arent together anymore so im not with another zone leader. i dont know whos going to teach me to be a zone leader but i guess ill figure it out.
my new comp is elder mendez from honduras. good guy. i think we will get along fine!
