shrooms

hey everyone.

good week. 

tuesday we had a lesson with an investigator that we have had for almost the whole time ive been here. he is progressing slowly but surely. he is reading the book of mormon more than any investigator ive ever had but just doesnt believe its true.  we have been trying to get him to come to church for forever but he wont do that either. anyway when we went to visit him he was telling us how he was going to go with a witch doctor and hes going to try some mushrooms because the guy said that when you try them you can see god or something... weird. but then he asked what we thought... i was just like " are you seriously going to try some mushrooms that will knock you out for hours to see what it feels like when we have been trying to get you to come to church for 1 hour for months..." i was pretty disapointed. i think were gonna drop him pretty soon.

when we were walking home tuesday night a guy came up to me and started speaking english. at first i thought he was just trying to argue with me and i was getting a little annoyed because it was late and i wanted to get home. i later found out that he was very sincere with his questions and we set an appointment to go back the next night. dudes been living in the states since he was a little kid and got deported 5 months ago. super humble and we set a baptism date for him the first lesson. 

since ive gotten to this area ive been popping the question first lesson every time. its been very effective. but the other day my comp and i decided to take it one step farther and set a date first lesson.  tuesday we found 2 news and set a date with both of them!  

conference was obviously sick if you didnt watch it go do it. 

shoutout to riley for the pics with the anti mormons outside of the conference center. i laughed pretty hard. 

today we went bowling. havent been bowling in a while. i sucked. but had a great time.
