Elder Richard Oveson: 1MONTH

woah i go home this month... time has gone by really fast. i honestly dont know how to feel about finishing. im super pumped to see my family and get back to school and playing lacrosse and all but i really enjoy inviting others to come unto christ! all good things must come to and end. luckily i still have a few more weeks! :)

this week was super fun as always. just been really enjoying my time with elder medina!

on tuesday i gave a crappy district class on charity but that night i learned wayyyy more about charity than in the 2 years of study ive done on the subject. we were in a lesson with the excobedo family to go over the baptismal interview questions and the mom mentioned that her and her kids had only eaten a bolillo which is like a big roll and a glass of milk in the last 2 days. when we left the lesson we called a family and we helped take them food. they werent the first family we called but they were the family that came thru. it made me realize that the church isnt about sitting around acting spiritual in church on sundays. christ condemned that. #faris... its about helping others like christ would. idk exactly how to explain all the things the spirit taught me that night when we were helping the family get some food but just know it was a good learning expirience.

on saturday we had the baptisms of manuel and danny! which is the rest of the family escobedo! it was a good service and i had the chance to dunk them! i actually had to try 3 times with manuel because when i finished the prayer he tried doing like a cannon ball type deal and his knees came up. i almost fell over too hahhaha after 2 tries i told him "look man just chill and let me take care of the baptism." it was an interesting time for sure.

im kinda short on time today but when i get home i can share more expiriences with you guys!
