saturday we had something called TRC which is basically we teach a bunch of volunteers from a stake near by. our first lesson was kinda rough because the girl was talking super quiet and we didnt really understand a lot of what she was saying. the second we started gettign to know her and just asked about her life and stuff. after a while i had a strong prompting to ask her if shes reading the book of mormon and praying every day. she said no so i started bearing my testimony of it (in spanish so it was pretty short hahhaha) but then i challenged her to read it and pray about it every day and she said NO smh she said she doesnt have time but finally we got her to commit to reading 5 minutes every day but who knows if she will actually do it. it was frustrating because its obvious she isnt that happy and i know how much the book of mormon can help her!!! it was a really cool expirience though and it really helped me start to feel a love for the people here!!!
sunday was fast sunday and that means only 23 more fast sundays mom if that makes it seem any shorter hahhaha it does to me! it already seems like its going by fast! anyway during sacrament meeting i bore my testimony all in spanish! i was surprised how much i was able to say and how long it actually ended up being! maybe it just felt long hahahha i even started crying because feeling the spirit which i didnt know i could do when talking in spanish hahhaha AND THEN AFTER SACRAMENT THEY HAD A MEETING ABOUT FAMILYS AND TOLD US TO GET MARRIED AS SOON AS WE GET HOME!!!! smh were like 3 weeks in it just made us all home sick it was weird that they even talked about it hahah and then that night we watched the christmas devotional and they showed temple square with all the lights so boom double homesickness hahahha smh whoever decided on those activities is messed!
on monday i finally got the brown plague hahhaa but only once so #blessed
on tuesday me and my companion had a really good lesson with our investigator! we have been using less notes and just trying to teach by the spirit and its been awesome and our lessons have been going really well!! the spanish is also starting to come a lot easier so thats way good!!! AND SETH CAME ON TUESDAY!!! (elder santiago now i guess) it was way nice to see someone from home! AND ON TUESDAY I FINISHED THE BOOK OF MORMON AGAIN! i love that book man its so true! im not sure what to study now so i just started jesus the christ but we will see how that goes hahhaha
we have been playing volleyball every day and ive gotten a lot better! its super fun!
nothing much else has happened except today me elder howell and elder peery got up and we all shaved our legs hahahhah then played volleyball and took a nap!
